Werder Bremen hosts RB Leipzig following opening weekend results

Werder Bremen prepares to face RB Leipzig following a difficult start to the Bundesliga season. Werder Bremen suffered a loss to SC Freiburg last weekend, struggling with defensive organization and a lack of attacking creativity while missing several injured players. In contrast, RB Leipzig enters the match after a 3-0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Manager Martín Demichelis oversaw a performance characterized by high attacking volume and goals from Ridle Baku, Antonio Nusa, and Rocco Reitz. Werder Bremen manager Daniel Thioune faces an injury list that includes Felix Agu, Mitchell Weiser, Jens Stage, Justin Njinmah, and Keke Topp. RB Leipzig continues to manage absences of its own, with Ørjan Håskjold Nyland, Assan Ouédraogo, Rômulo, and Christoph Baumgartner currently unavailable for selection.
