West Ham defender Tuva Hansen ruled out with ACL injury

West Ham United defender Tuva Hansen has been diagnosed with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. The 28-year-old Norwegian sustained the injury during a World Sevens Football match against Aston Villa last week and was carried off on a stretcher. West Ham confirmed the injury on their official website and indicated that Hansen is likely to be sidelined for most of the 2026/2027 season. The Hammers finished bottom of their group after losing all three matches in the tournament, including a 5-4 loss to Manchester United, a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and a close 3-2 loss against Aston Villa. Hansen will see a specialist to discuss further steps regarding her recovery.
