Despite Brentford's interest in Diouf, who had an impressive season with five assists in 32 appearances, West Ham's recent financial gains have altered their position. The Hammers previously needed to sell due to relegation but now aim to retain their squad. Brentford faces challenges finding a long-term left-back solution, as Rico Henry's injury history raises concerns. The situation puts pressure on Brentford to reassess their options as they look for reliable cover.
