West Ham set to reject Manchester United’s opening offer for Fernandes

West Ham United is poised to reject Manchester United's initial bid of £65 million for midfielder Mateus Fernandes. Despite West Ham's relegation, the club believes Fernandes' value is reflective of current market conditions and is seeking £80 million. Manchester United is confident they can eventually reach an agreement, as negotiations are expected to continue despite this initial setback. The competition for Fernandes includes interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, complicating matters further for United, who aim to secure him as their second signing of the summer.
