West Ham United submits loan offer for Roma defender Anass Salah-Eddine

West Ham United has tabled an offer to sign AS Roma left-back Anass Salah-Eddine on a season-long loan. The Premier League club is seeking a replacement for El Hadji Malick Diouf, who recently transferred to Brentford. West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo identified the 24-year-old Morocco international as a primary target to address a lack of depth at the position. Currently, the club lists only academy graduates Ollie Scarles and Ezra Mayers as recognized left-back options. The proposed transfer remains subject to completion before the 11 pm deadline on September 1, 2026. Salah-Eddine, who appeared in four matches during the most recent World Cup, is reportedly not in the long-term plans for the Serie A side.
