Western Bulldogs defeat Sydney to end undefeated season streak

The Western Bulldogs secured a 9.6 (60) to 5.3 (33) win against Sydney at Mission Whitten Oval on Saturday. The match marked the end of the undefeated start for the fourth-ranked Swans. Despite a second and third-quarter rally from Sydney that saw them kick four consecutive goals, the Bulldogs maintained control of the contest. Rylie Wilcox recorded a career-high three goals for the Bulldogs. Teammate Emma McDonald also contributed three goals during the final term to ensure the victory. Co-captain Izzy Pritchard anchored the team with 23 disposals and nine clearances, while Elle Bennetts added 20 disposals in her 75th career game. The result arrives during the second week of the AFLW Indigenous Round.
