Wharton wins F3 Barcelona Sprint Race after strong comeback lap

James Wharton secured victory in the Formula 3 Sprint Race at Barcelona on June 13, 2026. After starting in P2, Wharton initially fell to third but regained the lead by overtaking Freddie Slater and Gerrard Xie. He managed to keep his lead through two Safety Car restarts, ultimately crossing the finish line first. Slater finished in second, followed by Xie in third, with Tuukka Taponen rounding out the top four. The next event in the series is the Feature Race, scheduled for June 14.
