Summary

The Chicago White Sox have signed outfielder Joey Wiemer to a minor league contract, as reported on August 8, 2026. Wiemer will join Triple-A Charlotte, adding right-handed outfield depth after being released by the Washington Nationals. His performance in the minors this season has been limited, with a batting line of.196/.277/.257 in 166 plate appearances.
