Will Horcoff records four points in four games for Michigan

Will Horcoff, son of Detroit Red Wings interim GM Shawn Horcoff, has made an impactful start at Michigan, tallying four points in the first four games of the 2026-27 season. The Wolverines remain unbeaten at 4-0-0, with Horcoff contributing two goals and two assists. Michigan recently secured a 7-2 victory against Alaska Anchorage. Last season, Horcoff reached 39 points, and his current point-per-game pace will require a stronger performance this season due to a reduced schedule of 34 games. The Wolverines aim for further success, potentially enhancing Horcoff’s NHL prospects as he is yet to sign an entry-level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who selected him 24th overall in the 2025 NHL Draft.
