Williams, Campbell named Sun athletes of the week for Sept. 7-12

Olympic senior football player Williams and Bremerton freshman soccer player Campbell have been named the Kitsap Sun athletes of the week for Sept. 7-12. Williams contributed significantly with 77 rushing yards, 57 receiving yards, two touchdowns and two sacks in a 31-21 victory over Central Kitsap. Campbell scored four goals in a high-scoring game that ended with a 6-4 defeat against Aberdeen. The athletes were chosen based on an online poll where readers cast their votes. Other nominees included several athletes from local football and volleyball teams. The next athlete of the week poll is scheduled for Sept. 23.
