Williams Field overcomes early mistakes to defeat Corona del Sol 33-23

Williams Field defeated the Corona del Sol Aztecs 33-23 in a 6A football matchup held on September 11. Despite trailing 10-6 at halftime due to early turnovers and penalties, the Blackhawks outscored the Aztecs 27-13 in the second half. Junior quarterback Dominick Barjona threw two touchdown passes to senior receiver John Booker, including a 67-yard scoring play that shifted momentum in the third quarter. Junior running back Romeo Jones added a late 18-yard touchdown run to secure the victory for Williams Field. The win keeps the Blackhawks undefeated at 3-0, while the Aztecs fall to 2-1 on the season.
