Williams sisters set for doubles match against Stearns and Kostyuk in Cincinnati

Serena and Venus Williams will team up in the doubles draw at the Cincinnati Open, meeting local player Peyton Stearns and Marta Kostyuk in the first round. This marks the first doubles appearance for the Williams sisters since the 2022 U.S. Open. Both teams received wild cards for the competition, which begins on Sunday, August 16. Serena, returning from retirement, has dealt with a knee injury since Wimbledon, where she and Venus had to withdraw from doubles. Venus recently lost her first-round singles match at the same event on August 14.
