Willis Halaholo has announced his retirement from professional rugby at the age of 36. Halaholo cited ongoing injuries as a significant factor in his decision, stating that while his mind remains eager to continue, his body cannot keep up. The former Wales and Cardiff centre, who played nine times for Wales and represents Tonga three times, spent eight years at Cardiff after starting his career in New Zealand. He left Cardiff after the 2023-24 season for Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. Halaholo plans to shift his focus to coaching.
