Wolverhampton Wanderers evaluate potential move for defender Yllan Okou

Wolverhampton Wanderers scouted La Louviere defender Yllan Okou during the middle of August. The EFL Championship club held discussions with the 23-year-old’s representatives regarding a potential transfer. Despite this interest, the move did not progress because Wolverhampton Wanderers failed to offload any players in the defensive position before the transfer window closed. Okou, a product of the AS Monaco academy, has also drawn attention from Amedspor, as well as teams in Eastern Europe, the Swiss Super League, and the Spanish top flight. He previously elected to remain at La Louviere despite receiving various offers from across Europe. Reports indicate that Wolverhampton Wanderers could choose to revisit their interest in the Frenchman when the transfer market opens again in January.
