Wolverhampton Wanderers sign Bertrand Traore on a one-year deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed former Chelsea and Aston Villa winger Bertrand Traore to a one-year contract. The 31-year-old moves to the Championship side following his departure from Sunderland earlier this summer. Traore managed 12 appearances for Sunderland last season, though a knee injury limited his playing time. Manager Cesar Peixoto indicated that the Burkina Faso international will require time to improve his fitness before contributing to the squad. Traore joins a Wolverhampton Wanderers team currently sitting 10th in the Championship standings after five matches. He is the 10th signing of the summer window for the club, which also added Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez to its roster.
