Initially traveling to Mexico to escape their job losses in the UK, the fans found opportunities in the US and chose to stay. The film tells their enduring story over the past four decades, highlighting their adventures, friendships, and the cultural adjustments they faced after migration. Director Jack Leigh was drawn to their story after receiving an email pitch detailing their experiences.
