Wolves sign defender Ghislain Konan on one-year deal

Wolves have completed the signing of Ivory Coast international Ghislain Konan on a one-year contract. The 30-year-old left-back joins the club following a previous season with Gil Vicente in the Portuguese Liga. The move was finalized nearly 23 hours after the summer transfer window closed. Konan, who has earned 57 caps for his country, previously played under current Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto. The signing addresses a vacancy in the squad created by the departure of David Moller Wolfe to SV Hamburg on deadline day. Konan brings experience from prior stints in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr and Al-Fayha, as well as time spent in the French top flight with Stade de Reims and in the Spanish second tier with Burgos.
