The 2026 World Cup sees a rapid succession of records for oldest coach. Hugo Broos, aged 74, set the initial record on June 11 when South Africa faced Mexico. Later that day, Czechia's Miroslav Koubek, also 74 but older than Broos, assumes the record. By June 15, Dick Advocaat, 78, will take over the record during Curaçao’s debut against Germany. Advocaat also previously coached at the 1994 World Cup.
