World Cup in New Jersey attracts over 640,000 fans

The FIFA World Cup 2026 held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford saw attendance exceed 640,000 fans. Over 61.5 million viewers in the U.S. followed the tournament. The local fan events drew more than 1 million attendees. Transportation to the venue included over 116,000 using official shuttles and 370,000 via NJ Transit. Following the tournament, 17 mini soccer pitches are being constructed, with more expected to come.
