World Team Tennis announces player roster for December season relaunch

World Team Tennis returns for its 47th season this December following a five-year hiatus. The league will feature three teams competing in a two-week stretch from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15 across New York, Toronto, and Florida. Recent player confirmations include Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Jessica Pegula, and Camila Osorio for the New York Empire Racquet Club. The Toronto North Racquet Club roster adds Victoria Mboko, Leylah Fernandez, Gabriel Diallo, and Denis Shapovalov, while the Florida Flamingos Racquet Club will feature Learner Tien, Iva Jović, and Tommy Paul. Each match is scheduled for four singles sets and a mixed-doubles tiebreak. Ownership of the league is now held by a holding company founded by chief executive Stephen Amritraj. Tickets for the six-match series become available for purchase on Sept. 15.
