WR Trent Taylor announces retirement from NFL

Trent Taylor, a veteran wide receiver, announced his retirement from the NFL over the weekend via social media. After entering the league as a fifth-round pick by the 49ers in 2017, Taylor played four seasons with the team, followed by stints with the Bengals and Bears, before returning to the 49ers in 2024. Over his career, he made 88 receptions for 845 yards and three touchdowns, primarily contributing during his time with the 49ers. He spent the previous season on the injured reserve list.
