WRC adds Rally US, Scotland and Rome for 2027, drops Portugal

Summary

The World Rally Championship will introduce Rally US, Rally Scotland, and Rally Rome to its 2027 calendar, which was released on October 8. Rally US will take place from August 26-29, marking the first event in the U.S. since the Olympus Rally in 1988. Rally Scotland, set for September 30 to October 3, is the first British round since 2019, while Rally Rome will be held from July 8-11. The changes came as Rally de Portugal and Sardinia were omitted, despite Portugal having been scheduled from 2026 to 2028 during earlier agreements. Talks are reportedly ongoing regarding a potential return for Portugal in 2028.
