WrestleMania 42 took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas over two nights. WWE announced attendance figures of 50,816 for Saturday and 55,255 for Sunday, totaling 106,071, which is a 15% decline from the 2025 event. However, the Las Vegas Stadium Authority reported lower figures of 47,093 and 50,033, resulting in a total of 97,126 attendees, indicating an 18% drop compared to last year's event. The event's attendance decreased despite high ticket prices, contributing to one of the biggest gates in WWE history. A significant 81% of the attendees came from outside Las Vegas, suggesting potential interest in the upcoming WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.

"The build to WrestleMania 42 left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of wrestling fans, especially with the way Pat McAfee was forced into the WWE championship feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. WWE’s sluggish ticket sales for its biggest event of the year actually became a major talking point in kayfabe, to the extent where CM Punk told TKO to lower ticket prices, and then McAfee pulled some strings to make it happen. As far as those ticket sales are concerned, it didn’t help that WWE decided to run the show in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium for the second straight year, after initially bringing in The Rock to announce WrestleMania 42 was taking place in New Orleans. WWE ended up announcing attendance figures of 50,816 for WrestleMania Saturday and 55,255 for WrestleMania Sunday. The sum of 106,071 for WWE’s two night attendance figure was down about 15% from the number it announced in the same venue in 2025 (124,693). Folks who are understandably skeptical of WWE’s publicly announced numbers for WrestleMania 42 will be interested in checking out Post Wrestling’s breakdown of the numbers released this week by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority. The Authority’s numbers were 47,093 for WrestleMania Saturday and 50,033 for WrestleMania Sunday. The sum of 97,126 is down roughly 18% compared to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority’s two night attendance figure of 118,641 last year at WrestleMania 41. Even though attendance for WrestleMania 42 declined about 18% from the prior year in the same venue, the event still drew one of the biggest gates in company history due to WWE’s extremely expensive ticket prices. For those who are curious, the report also mentions that 81% of the people who attended WrestleMania 42 were from out of town, which reminds me that President Nick Khan is confident WWE fans are eager to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next year for WrestleMania 43. What stands out to you about WrestleMania attendance in Las Vegas declining by about 18% from 2025 to 2026? If you are a regular WrestleMania attendee, did you skip out on this year’s show? Do you plan to travel to Saudi Arabia to catch it next year? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
