Wrestling community debates if legends are overrated or underrated

"

Last week, a Cagesider who goes by the name Rivdee kicked off what they admitted was an “ambitious” project they came up with while throwing back some Steveweisers with a fellow rasslin fan: a daily Feed post where the community can discuss if a name from pro wrestling’s past was overrated, or underrated. We loved the idea, and I offered my semi-educated two cents on the two posts that followed. First up was Jerry Lawler foil “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert… Followed by a lesser known “Nature Boy”, Buddy Landel… We haven’t seen Rivdee since, and hope they’re doing okay. The idea behind this article isn’t to pressure them to come back to Cageside to post more “Overrated or Underrated”s. It’s to draw some more attention and hopefully spark some more conversation around the work they did. It’s also to gauge interest in keeping the concept going in some form or fashion even if Rivdee choses not or is unable to continue. A different “Overrated or Underrated” every day is probably too ambitious, but 2-3 per week should be do-able… if this is something the community is into. So click into Rivdee’s Feed posts to talk about Landel or Gilbert, and let us know below whether you’d like to see semi-regular “Overrated or Underrated” posts in The Feed!
