Summary

Wrexham AFC is set to finalize the acquisition of Ben Whiteman, captain of Preston North End. Whiteman, who completed a medical on Tuesday, has made 200 Championship appearances. His current club manager, Paul Heckingbottom, expressed disappointment over the player's push for a transfer, claiming Whiteman indicated he had played his final game for Preston.
