Wrexham are negotiating a deal to sign Burnley defender Joe Worrall before the transfer window closes on Tuesday at 23:00 BST. Manager Phil Parkinson is looking to reinforce his defensive line as his side seeks its first win of the 2026-27 campaign. Wrexham has struggled to keep clean sheets in their opening four matches, most recently falling 2-1 to Birmingham City. Worrall has been an unused substitute for Burnley during the current Championship season, though he previously represented Nottingham Forest and Besiktas. The potential arrival of the 29-year-old could facilitate the departure of Conor Coady, who has not been included in any matchday squads this term. Other players including Elliot Lee, Harry Ashfield, and Aaron James may also exit the club before the deadline.
