WTA Finals to move from Saudi Arabia to Indian Wells in November

This change comes after the WTA ended its controversial three-year agreement to stage the finals in Riyadh, a decision that faced criticism over the host country's human rights record. Following two years in Riyadh, the WTA and the Saudi Tennis Federation mutually agreed to conclude their hosting arrangement. The move brings stability to the tournament, which had been oscillating since a previous deal with Shenzhen was disrupted by the pandemic. Indian Wells, recognized for hosting major events, is expected to offer prime facilities and a strong fan base for this key event in women's tennis.
