WWE and TNA partnership confirmed ahead of NXT battle royal

In recent weeks, there’s been plenty of talk surrounding the partnership between WWE and TNA. There was some speculation that WWE would be moving on from it altogether before rumors suggested it was simply on hold and not as strong as it once was. That much seems obvious, considering no TNA teams were included in the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Well, the partnership is still alive, as we learned on this week’s episode of NXT television. Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan was cutting a promo in the ring when General Manager Robert Stone hit the scene to drop some news on her in front of everyone — next week’s show will feature a battle royal to determine who will challenge Jordan for her title at Halloween Havoc late next month. The match will feature wrestlers from six different brands. And that includes TNA. You might even call this a lifeline for TNA, who is currently struggling to move tickets for its biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory. Everybody wins, right?
