Cody Rhodes defends WWE title against Gunther in Turin

WWE will return to ESPN Unlimited in the United States — and Netflix everywhere else — today (Sun., May 31, 2026) with its now-annual premium live event from Europe, this year in Turin and named Clash in Italy! The event will feature Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE championship against the Career-Killer Gunther, and the WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns putting that belt and his Chief status in The Bloodline against his cousin Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat. And those are just two of the star-studded matches on Sunday’s show at Turin’s Inalpi Arena! And unless you’re in Europe, you’re going to have Clash in Italy available earlier than you’re used to watching live WWE shows. The event will get rolling at noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific with the free Countdown show, which runs for two hours on WWE and ESPN’s online outlets, among other places. That leads right on into the premium live event at 2 p.m. Eastern, 11 a.m. on the West Coast, and that will require an ESPN or Netflix subscription. The first hour of the show will be available on cable network ESPN, and subscribers to that will get Rhodes and Gunther as the opener, and the WrestleMania rematch between Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill — regardless of whether their cable or satellite provider has worked things out to get you ESPN Unlimited for no additional cost (as ESPN & its parent company Disney have promised us all they eventually will).
