A lot of wrestling fans want to know what WWE’s plan is for The Vision after Seth Rollins beat Bron Breakker at Night of Champions. Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it! Top rumor of the day: The Vision is in limbo WrestleVotes Radio heard there is a “split of opinion” within WWE regarding the future of The Vision, which currently consists of Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory. Some people in WWE think the group should continue on, but only if it is refreshed with changes to the current list of members. However, there are others in the company who think The Vision has run its course following a series of major injuries and key losses on WWE programming. These people think it’s best for the group to dissolve and “let the pieces fall where they may.” No matter which path WWE takes with The Vision’s future, sources say that Paul Heyman will remain aligned with Bron Breakker. Heyman is viewed as a vital part of Breakker’s presentation going forward. The rest of the rumors! WrestleVotes claims WWE kept a tight lid on Sami Zayn’s surprise WWE championship win at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, with multiple key departments in the company not clued in as to what was planned. What’s more is that as of July 1, WWE’s marketing department still did not receive any word about updating SummerSlam’s promotional materials with Zayn as the champion. The outlet also says it was ESPN’s idea for WWE Night of Champions to include six total matches, rather than the standard five match count from many previous PLEs. ESPN felt that an extra match or two would add good value to the paid portion of Night of Champions on ESPN Unlimited. WWE PLEs are expected to keep this expanded format going forward, which includes the opening hour still being simulcast on ESPN’s cable channel. According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, the AEW world championship match between MJF and Kenny Omega next week at Dynamite Beach Break was originally planned to take place at the Redemption pay-per-view on July 26. Co-host Bryan Alvarez says the change was made “fairly recently,” but it’s not clear why. PWInsider says it was actually WWE who blurred out Bron Breakker’s bloody head on the Night of Champions replay on Netflix. The edits that WWE made also replaced “Holy shit!” chants with “This is awesome!” There were multiple fan accounts that indicated Kyle Fletcher was injured and vomited at AEW’s Collision taping this week. However, Alvarez was told that Fletcher was not hurt, and he did not suffer a concussion. It’s been speculated to be a case of dehydration. After Eric Young was released by TNA this week, Meltzer was told that he will join WWE NXT as a player-coach, just like Shawn Spears’ role.
