An American flag at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, caused a significant power outage after storm winds dislodged it. The flag made contact with high-voltage wires near the Stamford Train Station around 9 p.m. on Saturday, leading to outages for about 5,000 customers. While some regained power quickly, the situation complicated efforts, resulting in further outages in Greenwich, Connecticut. By early Sunday evening, over 6,700 customers were still without power, but utility crews managed to reduce that number to the hundreds within an hour. The flag was described as severely damaged and was removed from the wires the next morning.
