WWE NXT's Keanu Carver under restraining order amid allegations

Reporting by Post Wrestling’s John Pollock and Brandon Thurston today (Sept. 29) found that Kevin Richardson, aka WWE NXT’s Keanu Carver, is under an order of protection to stay away from and not contact another NXT talent who filed a petition against him. The petition was originally filed in a Florida court on Sept. 14 by a person Post isn’t naming unless they name themselves publicly; we’ll refer to them as “the petitioner”. A judge granted a temporary protection order that day, and at a hearing on Sept. 22 it was extended until the next hearing on Oct. 20. Richardson asked for the delay so he can seek counsel. Richardson and the petitioner dated, with the relationship having recently come to an end. After they broke up, Post reports that “Robertson allegedly made a series of unwanted visits to the petitioner’s home and made unwanted calls to the petitioner, as many as 44 times in one day.” Their 49-page filing backs up those claims with screenshots of call logs and security camera footage. During the course of their relationship, the petitioner says Richardson was “abusive and threatening”, including verbal and physical threats of murder. After another “unwanted visit” on Sept. 13 when Richardson came to their residence “refused to leave, and made threats to harm himself,” the petitioner called the police. Richardson left before the police arrived, and the restraining order was filed the next day. Richardson hasn’t appeared for WWE since an NXT house show on Sept. 12 in Lakeland, Florida. He last appeared on NXT television the Tuesday before (Sept. 8). Neither he nor WWE responded to Post’s attempts to reach them for comment, but the official “@KeanuCarverWWE” X/Twitter account has been deactivated, as has an Instagram account with the same handle. The protective order Richardson is under is a civil one, but he could still be charged with criminal offenses as the case proceeds. Post writes: An official with the local police department told us the case is still pending with the State Attorney’s Office. That office told us the case is being investigated and they could not answer whether charges will be filed.
