But ticket sales are again a topic of conversation, with both of the world’s largest pro wrestling outfits both lagging behind past performance — especially at stadium events like last weekend’s SummerSlam and the upcoming All Out. That’s part of why WWE’s various ticket-buying incentives for the SmackDown in Philadelphia tonight (July 7) have been shared around this week. The newest one is making the rounds on the wrestle web both because it’s another reduced price ticket offer even after the Buy-One-Get-One-Free sale, but also because it’s the first thing that says Randy Orton will be at Xfinity Mobile Arena for tonight’s SmackDown. That cost Rhodes the WWE title as he’d go on to lose his match against champion CM Punk. WWE’s official preview doesn’t mention Orton, so he could just be on-hand for a dark match or appearance after the live television broadcast ends. Only way to find out is to buy a ticket (or tune in on USA Network or Netflix tonight).
