Do you smell what WWE is cooking to celebrate 30 years of The Rock? Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it! Top rumor of the day: WWE’s new championship celebrating The Rock Rocky Maivia made his WWF PPV debut 30 years ago at Survivor Series 1996. That corny babyface gimmick bombed, but it didn’t take long to reinvent himself as The Rock and eventually become one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport. According to a new report from WrestleVotes Radio, WWE has big plans to celebrate 30 years of The Rock this month, with Survivor Series 2026 just a few weeks away. Those plans include a new commemorative championship belt, other special merchandise, and a social media campaigns to honor his career. It would appear that if The Rock did get any heat in WWE for his recent comments praising AEW and mentioning Tony Khan, it’s not a big enough deal to get in the way of honoring his career. There’s no word on whether The Rock will return to WWE programming as part of this month’s celebration, but if he does, perhaps he’ll have a second title to carry around, in addition to The People’s Championship belt. The rest of the rumors! PWInsider claims that a “major portion” of the production for WWE Crown Jewel on Saturday will be remotely done at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Production and satellite trucks will be stationed at WWE HQ, with less WWE staff than usual present in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fightul Select mentioned that Enzo Amore was at the WWE Performance Center while visiting NXT this week. Earlier this year, AEW sources said Enzo “tested the waters” there as well. WrestleVotes says WWE had previous discussions about using the Iron Survivor gimmick on the main roster, but it’s not clear if that’s more likely to happen now that NXT is dropping it for TLC this year. One source indicates that Sami Zayn’s WWE championship story is the best fit for the concept, if WWE does end up using it. It sounds like WWE was very happy with the way Danhausen was featured on its programming during Halloween week. With that in mind, Votes was told that Danhausen will take on the role of Santahausen during the holiday season, as part of WWE’s marketing campaign for Christmas-themed merchandise. For whatever it’s worth, Wrestling Observer Radio’s Bryan Alvarez speculates that Adam Copeland is definitely turning heel as part of his story with AEW World Champion Will Ospreay. Earlier this week, WWE filed to trademark the name “Marquis Journey.” Discuss these rumors and others in the comments below, and share your takes on any topic in The Feed!
