Xander Bogaerts evaluated amid playoff push for Padres

Xander Bogaerts, the veteran shortstop for the San Diego Padres, remains a key figure as the postseason unfolds. Evaluated in a recent roster review, Bogaerts has played in 151 games this season, posting a.231 batting average, despite a strong September where he batted.315. His performance has declined since his first season with the Padres, when he recorded 4.2 Wins Above Replacement. With the current postseason ongoing, questions linger about whether Bogaerts can reclaim his offensive form. The Padres continue their playoff run as Bogaerts aims to improve his contributions on the field.
