Xavi Espart to debut number 12 jersey for Barcelona against Athletic Club

Summary

Xavi Espart is set to debut with the number 12 jersey as Barcelona faces Athletic Club later tonight. After an impressive performance against Elche CF in the opening game, Espart is likely to start at left-back, ahead of Joao Cancelo. This marks a significant step in his rise within Barcelona's first team. His prior number 36 is replaced by number 12, previously worn by Martin Braithwaite and others. A strong outing against Athletic Club could enhance his chances for a contract renewal and a more prominent role this season.
