Xavier Lucas among seven Miami players out for Clemson game

Summary

Miami (FL) football will be missing several key players, including cornerback Xavier Lucas, for their matchup against Clemson on Saturday. Lucas joins six other Hurricanes who are sidelined due to injuries, impacting the team's defensive capabilities significantly. This Atlantic Coast Conference clash marks the first meeting of the top two teams in the conference, with Miami and coach Mario Cristobal relying on offensive talents like quarterback Darian Mensah and wide receiver Malachi Toney. However, the absence of Lucas and other players may challenge their chances against a competitive Clemson team. Miami has only one probable injured player—linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin Jr.—while running back CharMar Brown and wide receiver Joshua Moore are also ruled out.
