Yadong Song secured a victory in the UFC Shanghai main event by knocking out Umar Nurmagomedov in the second round. The bantamweight fighter credited the finish to a specific game plan developed by his team, including boxing coach Rudy Hernandez, during training camp. Coaches observed that Nurmagomedov typically dipped his head to the left when attempting takedowns, allowing them to refine an uppercut counter specifically for the bout. Following the result, Song expressed interest in potential rematches against Petr Yan and Sean O’Malley.
