Yahoo and The Nonfiction Hotlist announce documentary film selections

Yahoo Media Group and The Nonfiction Hotlist have revealed their final 20 selections for documentary short films, with five focused on sports. The selected films encompass diverse themes, including community engagement in bocce, women's barriers in football, obsessive fan culture, youth friendships, and wrestling's impact on fatherhood. The films will be showcased at the inaugural Yahoo x Nonfiction Hotlist Film Festival on Aug. 22-23 at the American Dream entertainment center in East Rutherford, N.J. Special events, including filmmaker discussions and a performance by musician Joshua Ray Walker, will conclude the festival.
