Yang Hansen shines for Trail Blazers in summer league matchup

Summary

Yang Hansen delivered a strong performance for the Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 18 points and securing 10 rebounds with five assists in their 111-84 summer league game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on July 15, 2026. Though these numbers are impressive, context matters as he faces a crowded backcourt under new head coach Micah Nori, which includes established stars like Damian Lillard and Ja Morant. Hansen's efficiency and adaptability will be essential for him to gain a consistent role in the rotation moving forward, especially after struggling to earn minutes during his rookie season. The Trail Blazers aim to see if Hansen's summer league success translates into the regular season.
