Yankees and Nationals discuss trade for slugger Luis Garcia Jr

The New York Yankees and Washington Nationals are in discussions about a trade for slugger Luis Garcia Jr. as the Yankees seek offensive help following injuries to key players, including Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Garcia, who is having a strong season with a.283 batting average, 23 home runs, and 76 RBIs, could provide much-needed power to the Yankees' struggling lineup. The Yankees have reportedly included Double-A right-hander Jack Cebert in negotiations. As the MLB trade deadline approaches, the urgency for the Yankees to improve their offense is increasing.
