Yankees' Cody Bellinger progresses to rehab assignment after injury

Summary

New York Yankees All-Star outfielder Cody Bellinger is set to begin a rehab assignment next week. Manager Aaron Boone confirmed this update prior to the Yankees' game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Bellinger has been sidelined since sustaining a Grade 2 left hamstring strain in late July, but has recently participated in high-intensity running as part of his recovery. The Yankees lineup has struggled with injuries, particularly due to the absence of Aaron Judge since May. Bellinger's return would significantly enhance the team's performance as they chase the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.
