The New York Yankees are evaluating the potential promotion of shortstop George Lombard Jr., their top prospect, who has played just 47 games at the Triple-A level. With the Yankees struggling offensively, especially without key players Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, there is pressure to boost the lineup. Lombard has an.832 OPS in Triple-A and was absent from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre lineup recently, igniting speculation about his call-up. The team may wait until August 15 to maximize service time considerations, which could also protect a future draft pick related to prospect promotions.

- •Promotion may occur after August 15 for service time reasons.
