Yankees consider signing Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki for offseason

Summary

The New York Yankees are looking to strengthen their roster this offseason after being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS following a sweep of the Boston Red Sox in the AL Wild Card series. Reports indicate that the Yankees are urged to target Seiya Suzuki, a star outfielder from the Chicago Cubs, who had a successful 2026 season with 26 home runs and 86 RBI. With Aaron Judge likely limited to DH duties, Suzuki could provide the Yankees with much-needed power in their lineup. The competition for Suzuki will be fierce, as he is among the most sought-after free agents this offseason.
