Yankees consider trading Jazz Chisholm Jr. before deadline

Summary

With the MLB trade deadline approaching on August 3, the New York Yankees are weighing the possibility of trading Jazz Chisholm Jr. Acquired from the Marlins in 2024, Chisholm has contributed with 55 home runs and 75 stolen bases. However, his contract demands of $35 million per year for up to ten years complicate his future with the team, as the Yankees have historically been reluctant to make significant financial commitments to second basemen. Despite a strong 2025 season, his 2026 performance has not met expectations, leading to increased speculation about his status and potential trade options.
