Yankees explore internal options to enhance struggling bullpen

Summary

The New York Yankees are considering internal talent to strengthen their bullpen after losing key relievers Luke Weaver and Devin Williams. The Yankees' bullpen is currently viewed as insufficient for a deep playoff run. Top prospect Carlos Lagrange is being converted to a reliever and had a strong outing with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, while Yovanny Cruz’s return to the majors is anticipated following a successful stint in Triple-A. The Yankees face pressure to improve their bullpen performance as they rank low in strikeouts since Cruz's demotion.
