The New York Yankees are targeting a trade for two-time All-Star CJ Abrams from the Washington Nationals as the MLB trade deadline approaches on August 3. Reports indicate the Yankees may offer three players, including pitchers Will Warren, Elmer Rodríguez, and Chase Hampton. Abrams, who has had a standout season with a.293 batting average, 27 home runs, and 82 RBIs, could significantly bolster the Yankees' struggling offense, especially in light of recent injuries to key players like Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger. The Nationals have not finalized a long-term deal with Abrams, paving the way for potential negotiations. Discussions are expected to continue as the Yankees look to improve their roster ahead of the postseason push.
