Yankees finish first half with four-game winning streak

The New York Yankees completed the first half of the season with a four-game winning streak, ending with a 5-3 victory against the Washington Nationals. This recent success comes amid criticisms of their performance. Despite some victories being aided by the Nationals' poor bullpen, manager Aaron Boone stated that the Yankees have given themselves a chance, currently sitting three games behind the first-place Tampa Bay Rays. Upcoming games against the Los Angeles Dodgers will further assess the team's performance and consistency as they head into the second half of the season.
