Yankees' Gerrit Cole adjusts during game against Red Sox
Summary

Gerrit Cole pitched for the New York Yankees against the Boston Red Sox on June 27, 2026, making adjustments after struggling initially. After allowing a two-run double, he attacked the strike zone more aggressively, striking out two batters and retiring 7 of 9 hitters thereafter. The Yankees are also set to welcome Trent Grisham back from the injured list during their upcoming homestand, as they seek to boost their offense amid recent player slumps. Additionally, pitching prospect Henry Lalane delivered an impressive performance for Low-A Tampa, throwing 7 hitless innings with 12 strikeouts.
