Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton may prepare for rehab assignment

Giancarlo Stanton has not played for the New York Yankees since April 24 due to a calf strain. Manager Aaron Boone left the possibility of a rehab assignment open, stating, "There’s at least a chance of that." Stanton’s return is a priority for the Yankees as they aim for a successful postseason. While a rehab stint could aid his readiness, he typically prefers to refine his skills in the batting cage before rejoining the team. Stanton has spent a majority of his time on the injured list since joining the Yankees.
